    We started applying a type lens to presidential politics back in 1996. Coincidentally, we were conducting a SST workshop on the same day as one of the Bill Clinton-Bob Dole debates. Naturally, we used our type-watching tools to read the two politicians.

    It seems like everyone is talking about this year's presidential race -- and not just in the United States. On a recent trip to Europe, I found as much talk and coverage of US presidential politics as I do at home.
