| Sales Myths Exposed in Rainmakers |
 |
|
No other field is as simultaneously important and
misunderstood as sales. Too many managers and
salespeople search for meaning – and success – in
four sales myths that lead, instead, to disappointing
sales performance.
Rainmakers, Closers & Other Sales Myths,
however, provides a clear-cut path to successful
selling by debunking mythology and replacing it with
a proven sales system: Strategy, Structure and
People.
Like war, a winning sales strategy is coordinated and
waged at four levels: shareholders (sovereigns);
CEOs and presidents (generals); sales management
(officers); and salespeople (soldiers). Strategy
defines the system – and the solution. But without a
sound structure occupied by the right people a
winning strategy will still fall short.
Rainmakers, Closers & Other Sales Myths
provides the tools sales leaders need to set a
strategy for success, construct structure that
supports it, and build a winning sales team who
possess the natural talents to learn the skills to
succeed.

Love is in the air this month, so we thought now
would be the perfect time to dust off and republish
an old favorite from the SST Newsletter
archives: the Top 10 Reasons Why Love & Sales Are
Alike.
Just in time for Valentine's Day, our take on the
popular David Letterman Top Ten List gives a light-
hearted look at the similarities. Not much has
changed in these two arenas since the list originally
appeared in 2000, with the exception of the recent
publication of Arnie's latest book: Rainmakers,
Closers & Other Sales Myths, which exposes the
prevailing mythology -- for sales at least.
Keep reading & have a Happy Valentine's Day!
