Archived Newsletter Articles 1997-2011
Shortly after I launched my consulting practice featuring SST, I began writing a newsletter. This would be 1997. The first version was a hard copy that we mailed to clients and prospects and was titled, SST Newsletter. The articles principally dealt with applying personality type principles to selling.
By 2001, electronic newsletters won favor with both readers and those who prepared them. Digital versions conserved paper, saved postage and were easy to read online.
Ten years after our first electronic newsletter, 2011, we made the conversion to a blog. While SST is still a core offering, our practice has become quite diverse with executive coaching, leadership development and selling skills courses that range from prospecting to negotiations. Accordingly, the title of the blog is Dr. Tilden’s Sales Prescription.
When www.tildensst.com underwent its sixth update this summer, we were confronted with the question of what to do with fourteen years of archived newsletters? Our answer is to assemble all of the newsletters in a file with titles and dates itemized in a table of contents that you can access here: https://www.tildensst.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/SST-Newsletters-Archive-1997-2011.pdf
There are 74 articles with topics ranging from fun like Selling to Santa (2002) and Sex & Selling (2000 & 2011) to serious like Z Problem Solving & the US Financial Crisis (2008). Myths like Multitasking and Closing are debunked and seven books are reviewed. But, you will find them all cataloged at the link. Perhaps you will come across a title or two that intrigues you.
